The North Island Wildlife Recovery Centre centre is making pre-release preparations for three young bears - Crumpet, Goldie, and Elky. These young cubs will live in this bigger enclosure for the next 7-months before their springtime release. Time in nature is time well spent. Trail Trip: Little Qualicum Falls’ 1-hour loop around upper and lower falls. When starting at the parking lot, we recommend walking on the trail that leads to the lower falls first. Once you reach the lower falls, you’ll cross over a wooden bridge and start walking back up towards the upper falls. Along the way, you’ll find beautiful viewing platforms, picnic spots and plenty of scenic views. ... : @david_crombie & @jarrodevans
