We were very pleased to participate in the Parksville Chamber's Business Achievement Awards that took place by ZOOM last night. SOS sponsors the Community Spiri...t Award, and pictured here, SOS Board Chair Martin Fereday presented the award to Sarah Duncan, Chair of the Parksville-Qualicum Community Foundation (PQCF). Some of the reasons SOS selected the PQCF include the Foundation's work building endowments and granting funds to a wide range of local organizations to meet community needs. Some of the recipients have included Nanoose Community Services, Arrowsmith Agricultural Association, Oceanside Community Arts Council and Forward House Community Society. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, PQCF has participated in the Responsive Neighbourhood Grant Program, lending a hand to neighbours, and also providing over $70,000 in funding to local programs and services, thanks to its partnerships. Congratulations PQCF for making our community a better place. This award is well deserved. #unityincommunity #strongertogether @parksvillechamber #parksville #mypqb See more
