Covid-19 Update March 20th Hello everyone! I hope all of you are keeping safe and sound. Parkview dental has postponed all treatment until April 6th. Of course this is a tentative date as we will follow the recommendations of our College and governing body. The office is not staffed today, Friday the 20th, but you can text or call (613) 334-8248 if you have an emergency. In most cases, we will be able to treat you with a prescription. ... Parkview Dental will have one staff member ready to take your call on Monday, Mar 23 from 9AM to 3PM. We will be happy to answer any questions that you may have. From The Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario A message to all dentists in Ontario - COVID-19 Pandemic In accordance with our mandate to act in the publics interest and in hearing the numerous comments made to us by members, in consultation with hospitals and public health and others, we are offering to the membership the following measures and guidelines in response to the COVID19 pandemic. 1. The RCDSO strongly recommends that all non-essential and elective dental ...services should be suspended immediately. Emergency treatment should continue. The College will revisit this recommendation in the first week of April. We have received many calls over the past 24 hours from dentists and hygienists concerned about keeping dental practices open and putting their patients, communities and staff at risk. In addition, many health care providers in community settings have not been able to secure a reasonable supply of PPE that would be required to actively treat COVID-19 cases. These factors, along with a spike in new cases and the call for effective social distancing, make it clear that bold action is required. This directive was received late Sunday afternoon from our Ontario Dental governing body, RCDSO. To keep all of our staff, patients and community as safe as possible, we have elected to cancel all non-essential dental services until further notice. We will remain open for dental emergencies.
