Trying to solve a mystery. Long story but does anyone know of a family who have parents named Josie and David, kids Theo and Sadie and an Uncle Todd? Something of theirs has been found. Thanks for your help!
Yesterday we finished the ceiling and today began with the carpeting. I feel so fortunate to be able to prepare a special place to share with many children and families in the future!
Many thanks to Jesse and Isaac, and Matt and Emma for helping us put up the pine tongue and groove in the cabin. Stay tuned for updates on more work being done today!

Forest Families yesterday...
How we say good morning with our youngest learners.
Parry Sound Forest School Wish List. Now that we have a building to store our equipment, and a building that needs to be winterized, we have a long list of materials, supplies and equipment that we are looking for. If you have any of the following that you no longer need or have left over from a previous project and would be willing to donate, could you please let me know? Thank you!... - a surgical gown (suggested by the health unit) - two door mats - large funnel - bird feeder - minnow trap - solid wooden table to replace the plastic one we use in the forest - a trail cam so we can observe what happens at night - energy shield or other rigid foam insulation -Dricore insulated subfloor panels Thank you for your help!
Beautiful Fall day for Saplings. It’s only 12:00 and we have climbed the rocks, held a bumblebee (it was still warming up from the cool evening),crossed the beaver dam, listened to a rich story (The Giving Tree), and climbed the tallest white pine in the area. So thankful for this wonderful group of children and to Adrienne Wilson for joining us today.
There was so much learning during our chickadees program today it’s really hard to know what pictures to post. Some of the highlights included making chocolate Tim Bits out of mud, crossing the beaver dam and hiking to see a beaver lodge and then climbing up some daunting rocks as we took a different route home. We ate raw seeds right out of a sunflower and wintergreen berries too. This group of children are so creative and show great resilience as they get wet or muddy or have to cope with prickly juniper bushes!
Our cabin arrived today!!!
Forest Families- So popular we are now offering it twice weekly - on Mondays and Thursdays 9:30-11:30. Please let me know if you’d like to add a Thursday adventure. We have six families in each time slot now. Thanks for your flexibility! See psforestschool.com for registration and information.

Have enjoyed a few weeks off as I prepare for the Fall term. We start on Monday! So pumped. On Thursday our pre-fab Cabin will arrive. The photo shows where it will sit in the parking lot. It’s hard to see. Thursday I’ll share some pictures of the new Building!
