Today IRCC began sending invitations to apply for the 2020 Parents and Grandparents Program. This is for those for whom we submitted an interest to sponsor forms in the fall of 2020. While everyone is talking about the bill 21, there is another horrible bill which was passed: Bill 9 of Immigration, cancelling 16000 pending files. All persons who registered their files with such difficulty in Mon Projet Quebec, with the date changes, system crashes and bad online system, are now left without recourse. 4 years have passed, they have become older, losing points of age, the professions in demand have changed, ....they have been waiting some patiently some sin...ce 2015 and to just tell them well tough luck, is really the worst thing ever. They want to leave for a better future and Quebec is dealing them the same cards as their own third world country. There is no guarantee people who are waiting will be selected to Quebec through ARIMA which is a points system based on top points. Quebec has been a popular destination for immigrants from all over the world, now I guess it will become limited to persons of a select francophone countries. These two bills together will change the the demographics of the province. I am so disappointed in Quebec.
