Calling all knitters! Knowing how generous our own Knit Wits are, I imagine a few will sign up.

It's National Volunteer Week in Canada! I would like to extend my thanks to our committee members Marylyn Wheeler-Murphy, Dianne May Bartlett, Karen Tiller and Michelle Cornick for their commitment to preserving Pasadena Heritage this past year. While our meetings are on hiatus, we are still working towards completing our Word on the Street booklet as our main project of focus. Stay safe everyone! ~ Carole

Last year #purpledaynl fell on a night that our Knit Wits were gathering. They supported community member Tim Spicer by wearing purple and asking him to come visit them. This year they practiced #socialdistancing but wanted him to know they were still thinking of him! Thank you to our wonderful Knit Wits. Epilepsy Newfoundland and Labrador #purpleday2020

Had a fantastic conversation with this Inuit woman about the technique she is using to crochet a hat. She uses two balls of wool at the same to essentially create an outside and inside layer of the hat. When asked what the pattern is, she responded there isn’t one as she cannot read patterns. She makes it up as she goes. She will be finishing it off with a sealskin pompom on top. Curious if any of our followers have seen crocheting like this? #traditionalskills
