Web-based platforms can be a great tool for engaging family and friends around a loved one who is ill, injured, or experiencing a wellness challenge. I've used CareFlash in my work and in my personal life, and recommend it highly. It is also completely free.

A completed advance directive is one of best tools to ease the burden on your friends and family if you are critically ill - and it is something you can complete (or start) today! Advance directives set out your proxy (an individual who will make decisions about our care if you are in a condition where we cannot) and describe what care you would/would not want. It also helps to ensure the treatment you receive (if you are not able to communicate your care decisions) is in lin...e with your values and wishes. YG has a great pamphlet with directions, things to consider and forms to complete.
