It is getting to be that time of year again so I thought that I would re-share my Bug of Summer Blog. As always when using essential oils, pick the ones most appropriate for your family (especially if you have young children or pets) and the situation. As an aromatherapist, it is my responsibility to use sustainably sourced essential oils and to research my suppliers. There are many plants & trees that are on the vulnerable or endangered species list. I no longer use Rosewood, Spikenard, Sandalwood (Santalum album), & Atlas Cedar. Favourites like Eucalyptus Radiata, Myrtle, Hemlock & Frankincense are considered near threatened (depending on the country of origin.)
