It is a night I will truly not forget, the amount of love and kinship felt was overwhelming. Much love to @buzzmusicla for their in depth review of "Movin On" and being so wonderful to work with. We acknowledge that we are a 4 white guy band and our followers are predominantly white. Due to our privilege it has been easier to acquire resources and navigate the music scene, and that is an unjust advantage. We look forward to the day that playing in a diverse line up is the norm and not a rarity. We look forward to the day black and POC communities can have their own spaces to perform, and grow. We look forward to the day the black and POC musicians and artists can act ...freely, speak, and make art not worrying about their lives. To get to that reality there is a lot of learning, growing, understanding and helping to be done. We have put together a list of easily accessible resources and ways to be active during this time, and start taking steps in the right direction, towards a brighter tomorrow. The slides contain information on taking action, and calling local officials to demand inquest into the death of Regis Korchinki-Paquet, who lost their life in a police incident earlier this week.
