We're looking for Senior Project Managers! On behalf of our client, PSG is looking for a Senior Project Manager for a 6 month contract in Ottawa. Senior Project Manager Job Details... The Senior Project Manager leads a set of Information Technology (IT) projects from initiation to close, deliver effective solutions that meet approved customer and business needs. The role is accountable for determining and delivering solutions to approved budget and schedule commitments while meeting required quality and compliance standards. Focus areas includes stakeholder management (varies by stakeholder), risk management and delivery of business benefit. This role is also required to follow established project management standards and lead/contribute to continued development of the project/program management capability. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects. Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility. Ensure resource availability and allocation. Develop a detailed project schedule to monitor and track progress. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques. Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques. Report and escalate to management as needed. Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders. Senior Project Manager Mandatory Requirements Bachelor's degree in IT Management, Business Administration, or a related field required. Seven years experience in project management, preferably in IT, with a track record of managing multiple medium to high risk projects simultaneously, while meeting delivery, quality, and compliance standards. Project Delivery Methodology certification (PMP or Prince2) or demonstrated experience. Need to be self-motivated, have leadership skills, initiative to work on large and small projects, with a good/proven track record in Project Management.
