It has been proven difficult at times for Northern First Nations to have equitable access to healthcare for much needed surgeries. I am glad that the Minister of Health has implemented this initiative. Alberta’s government has provided $50,000 grants to 6 First Nation communities, including Bigstone Cree Nation. This initiative is apart of a provincial solution to reduce surgical wait times.
