UPDATE: It looks like companions have been found for both Drama and Leslie (posted prior). We do however have 5 other dogs that need flights to Vancouver. Pl...ease continue to comment should you wish to help! FLIGHT COMPANION NEEDED. Drama needs our help to get to rescue. With the help of our friends at One Last Chance Rescue, this beautiful girl has a chance at a new life. We are looking for someone who is flying Toronto to Vancouver (no stop overs) that would be willing to add Drama to their ticket. There is no additional cost to the flyer, everything is taken care of and organized by rescue. Nika's Society has secured a place for her, now we just need to get her to BC! (Please note that One Last Chance Rescue is a volunteer group that helps dogs in shelters that are at risk. They work closely with approved rescue partners to place dogs in urgent need of help. Many of these dogs are not always suitable for adoption as they need behaviour assessment or training not available in the shelter. Some shelters have quick deadlines and are high kill. Some dogs do not present well in a stressful kennel environment. Some dogs need medical care beyond the shelters abilities. Drama has been posted since May. We are truly grateful to Nika's Society for stepping up to help. Every dog deserves a second chance.) Please share or p.m. me of you have an upcoming flight. We will help her get to rescue, even if we have to pay expensive cargo fees. Having a flight companion would help us pay only 1/4 of the fees. Help is appreciated. Please share. See more

In conjunction with National Hunger Action Month, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints are holding a food drive to help stock local food banks in our community. We invite locals to fill the bag and leave it on your doorstep by 10 am this Sat & we will pick it up. If you didn’t get a bag, please consider making a food donation in your local community this week. Every donation big or small makes a difference.
