To the resident of the Township of Langley. You have 22 candidates that have put their name forward for 8 positions on Council. We have built websites, Facebook pages, Twitter accounts to communicate what we stand for. You now get to evaluate us, interview us, and check our references so you can choose which eight you want to represent your interest in the Township for the next four years.... I would like to thank you for considering me. And for those that voted for me in the advance polls thank you.
Today is the last day of the election campaigning and many candidates will be wondering if their message is resonating with residents and if they have had the opportunity to meet and speak with enough voters. I want to thank each and every resident who took time to contact me and speak to me when I was out and about. As Councilors we will need to balance needs and wants against income and assets. ... Today I will be visiting Aldergrove, Murrayville and Walnut Grove for the last time this campaign. I do however; look forward to representing you at the Council table. PLEASE VOTE
Brad Richart I appreciate your words. "These are simply the people that are the most likely to strike the right balance between urbanism and rural protection in the Township of Langley. They are also the most likely to struggle with the facts before jumping to conclusions. This is not necessarily an endorsement, but it is my view that these 5 are less likely to endanger Langley’s future. "
I received this message yesterday from a supporter and I have her permission to share. This is what inspires me. How cool, my daughter is doing a project on You at school, Topham Elementary grade 7. They are following the election, and she will have to study up, and present reasons why to vote for Patricia Lessard!
LET TALK ALDERGROVE-I have spent several days in Aldergrove and listened to residents. I have heard your frustration. You have expressed how you have not felt like full citizens of our Township. It is time for that to change. It is time to have a strong voice on Council listening and advocating for you. Someone that can be assertive without being aggressive. I can be that voice. It's time for Council to work with Aldergrove residents to begin the revitalization your comm...unity deserves. ALDERGROVE DESERVES MORE
Oxford's dictionary describes Independent as Free from outside control; not subject to another’s authority: I am a truly independent candidate. I am open-minded, respectful, and collaborative. ... As a Langley Township Councilor I will use my communication, conflict resolution and problem solving skills to work collaboratively with the other Councilors and find solutions to the issues of our community. As well as work to keep our community the vibrant, exciting community it is.
