July 28, 1941 April 24, 2021 SAVERIMUTTU VICTOR EMMANUEL loving son of the late Philippupillai Saverimuttu and Mary Lourdes Anthonypillai of Kayts; loving husband of Matilda Sarogini Antonypillai and ever-loving father of Samantha Yarlene, Andrea Mayurie, and Kaitlin Sukanya (USA); brother of the late Joseph Stanislaus, the late Charles Amirthanayagam, the late Juliet Bastianpillai, the late Mary Theresa Constance, the late Peter Gerard, and Marie Stella (Jaffna); brother in-law to Wimala Stanislaus (USA), Gnanes Rosaline Amirthanayagam (Canada), the late Rudra Bastianpillai, Dorothy Jean Gerard (USA), the late Rita Theophilus, the late Antonypillai Christopher Ratnaraj, the late Antonypillai Albert Patrick Selvaraj, the late Mary Rebecca Jeyamanie Wijeyanathan, Antonypillai Edward Joseph Anandaraj (Canada), and Mary Therese Manorani Ratnasingham (Canada)passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, 24th of April, 2021 in San Jose, California, USA. May his soul rest in peace. The viewing will be held on Thursday, 29th of April, from 4-7pm PST at Lima-Campagna-Alameda Mission Chapel at 600 S 2nd St in San Jose, with a Rosary vigil at 5pm. Funeral mass will take place on Friday, 30th of April at 10 am PST at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in San Jose, and services will be live-streamed.

- St. Patrick's Day 2021 - St. Patrick's Day was celebrated on a minor scale today. Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, the Festive Masses were offered in four di...fferent sections of the College (including the Cathedral). A very few retired teachers and old boys attended the mass in the Chapel. Students were in their school uniform as classes were conducted today after the mass. During the interval, students enjoyed refreshments with respective class teachers in their classrooms. #spc2021 #spcofficial #spcmedia #spc

Bishop Victor, an Old Patrician passes away in Pakistan. We have received the sad news about the death of His Excellency Bishop Victor Gnanapragasam, an old boy... of our College. Bishop Victor was born in Jaffna. He was ordained a priest for the Congregation of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate on December 21, 1966.He has served in Pakistan as a priest since 1973. He was consecrated Bishop at Saint Patrick's Cathedral, Karachi on 16 July 2010 by the apostolic nuncio to Pakistan Archbishop Adolfo Tito Yllana.
