Breaking down the 80/20 rule for healthy eating There are so many different ways to set up a healthier nutrition routine. One of the mindset hacks for overco...ming guilt when it comes to eating food and finding that right balance is by aiming your weekly food goals at 80% whole foods (with a couple of processed choices in the mix) and 20% fun foods. This is a great goal to be at upon starting out. Remember it is more of a goal or guideline upon starting out then an exact science. Now, of course, this is subject of change if you are going on vacation and then you can adapt more of a 60 - 40% mindset but the 80-20% rule is a great place to be at ongoing. For me, I am personally more of a 90% whole foods and 10% fun foods kind of person but that is just me personally, you will find a system that works for you. Additionally, if you are unsure of portion sizes starting out, tracking calories or macros can be helpful tool to reach your goals.
