Since I was a little girl, I've loved to sing. And, looking back, I think I've always been a bit of an entertainer *ahem* and comfortable in front of a crowd. Obviously, my ultimate dream growing up was to be the first Mini-Pop hailing from St. John's, Newfoundland. I would sell tickets to my neighbors for my 'shows' starting at the the age of 7. These 'shows' consisted of me singing over the actual radio track of whatever popular song at the time, while attempting to look ...like a Solid Gold dancer. (My best selling 'show' was with Rod Stewart's HOT LEGS... I made $2) LOL Fast forward a bunch of years later... Getting to play music with the various amazing musicians over the last 20 odd years has been nothing short of joyous. Some of my happiest and most exhilarating memories have been on stage playing music - specifically with my most recent band, The Project. I feel so fortunate to have had this little musical journey with these amazing musicians by my side. Although we're not the Mini-Pop's, I got to live out a childhood dream and I can't thank them enough. My heart is full of gratitude. Not just for these experiences but for all the friends I've made through music. I truly feel blessed. Why am I spewing all of this?? Because times they are a changing. I've decided to step away from the music biz... the music lives in me, so I can't leave that *thankfully* but I'm at a stage in my life where change is paramount and this change is necessary. Now I still love a party (some things never change lol) so we're gonna throw one last hoorah before I hibernate ...LOL It would be really great if you'd come out and party with us and gimme a big 'ol *squish*!!! This is only gonna be fun if you're there "HEART & SOUL" Featuring Brigade - Heart tribute band and The Project. January 25th @ the Newcastle. Official event page to follow. Share the music ~ Spread the love

Holy hell... where do I begin? I'll start with an apology because by the time this post is finished, I'll probably have forgotten someone and that is not what I want to do because this post is all about gratitude and my being thankful for each and every person who helped the 6th Annual Edmonton Women of Song to be deemed a success. First and foremost, I need to thank the ladies of EWOS. Sophia De Jager-Beattie Dale Ladouceur Mary Thomas and Rita McDade YOU ROCK! I couldn't...Continue reading
