Why not get your kilt on when you get your skates on?

Pavilion of Scotland 06.02.2021

The Great Canadian Kilt Skate is taking place from December 31 to February 28! Put on your favourite tartan clothing, grab your skates and Scottish Spirit and s...kate anywhere you'd like (as long as it's safe to do so)! Post a picture to social media and use the tags #kiltskate2021WPG #SASOW #OttScott #ScotlandIsNow and we have a chance to become Canada’s Kilt Skate Capital. If you are skating in another part of the province, also include a hashtag using the town or City you're in - for example #kiltskate2021Gimli or #kiltskate2021StPierreJolys

Canadian Multiculturalism Day is a day to celebrate Canada’s diversity and to recognize the contributions of the ethnocultural groups that make up Canadian soci...ety. Many early settlers in Manitoba were Scottish, including William Brown, owner of the 1856 Red River Frame House. You can make your own official Manitoba tartan with a template available on the Museum’s website! http://stjamesmuseum.com/canadian-multiculturalism-day/ #museumed #museumeducation #multiculturalismday

Gotta say, I love this story. So glad that Glasgow is in the lead of establishing a tartan to include the Muslim community of Scotland. My grandfather Charlie ...Angus worked in Glasgow at a time of brutal religious sectarianism. He hated the divisions. I was taught by the Protestant and Catholic side of my Scottish family of the values of inclusiveness. It guides me. Then let us pray that come it may, (As come it will for a' that,) That Sense and Worth, o'er a' the earth, That Man to Man, the world o'er, Shall brothers (and sisters) be for a' that.
