PCPS Family, After an unfair and hurtful review on my page this weekend I made this post on my personal page. I was asked by the offender (whom I’ve never met) to remove this from my personal page and then blocked by that person. ... Instead, I am going to stand up for myself and all other businesses who are treated this way. This is a message which must be heard and so I am now sharing it here as well. Especially since this is where it happened. I WILL NOT stand by and watch anyone be bullied. Including myself! Blocking me so I can’t see the review won’t get offenders anywhere either. Just blocked from my page and a report sent in to fb. After all, fb has a no bullying policy as well! **If you wouldn’t go to Sobeys after closing and leave a bad review because the shelf stockers wouldn’t let you in to get groceries.... don’t do it to a small home business!** Sorry for the long winded post. Hopefully we don’t have this happen again! This is one of the friendliness group of pet parents I’ve ever been surrounded by and we don’t need the negativity to change that!

This message brought to you by the resident puppers, Miss Sierra and Mr Quincy: There are a lot of changes, as I am sure you’re all aware, so this is a run down on the new procedures: 1.) Booking/Appointments:... -You and those you come into contact with must be healthy and symptom free of COVID-19 to both book and attend an appointment for your dog(s). -If you, or a member of your bubble, have been out of the province , or to Zone 5, within the last 14 days DO NOT book or come to the salon until you have quarantined for the mandatory 14 days. -If you show any signs/symptoms you WILL be refused service until you are symptom free again. 2.) Arrival at the salon: -Be sure to arrive a few minutes early. -Put your mask on BEFORE getting out of your vehicle. -Potty your dog(s) (in designated area). -Wait in your vehicle for me to come get you. -Only 1 chauffeur per dog(s) in the shop due to size constraints. 3.) Check in: -Stand at the hand sanitizer station to answer questions while you sanitize your hands -Carry your dog(s) into the shop and place them directly in the tub. Please, do not touch anything on you way in/out of the shop. -Once we have discussed the groom, be sure to have your phone on and be ready for immediate pickup of your dog. 4.) Pick up: -Be available for immediate pick up, as timings are now more important than ever. -Wait in your vehicle for me to come get you. -Put your mask on BEFORE getting out of your vehicle. -Sanitize your hands before entering. -Pay for grooming using debit/credit card. -Retrieve dog(s) from kennel. -Leave your mask on until AFTER you are back inside your vehicle. NOTE: Missed appointments largely affect the business. The number of clients that can be taken in a day has now been drastically reduced due to COVID-19. So, there will be a new policy put in place to help alleviate the issue: All No Shows will be charged full price for the missed groom and will need to prepay (at time of booking by EMT) for the next appointment. NO EXCEPTIONS. Together we can make the hand we were dealt work! I’m so excited to see all my amazing clients again!!

Hey everyone! Mr Quincy and Miss Sierra here again... Has it EVER been a crazy busy first couple weeks back in the shop! ... Thanks for everyone’s patience as our Mum has been working her way through the ‘cancelled’ and ‘wait’ lists. She has very few left to book from those and then will be moving onto all the new messages and ‘new-client’ requests by tomorrow! By the end of this week all lists will be finished and it will be smooth sailing again!! Stay tuned for a bunch of photos of your cutie-pie-puppers to be uploaded this week as well! We are just gonna nap up while Mum contacts more pawrents for appointments! See you all tomorrow!!

Good evening Paw-Fully Cute Family Today was the Nail Trims for Mental Health event at the shop and it went over extremely well! To those who came in/donated, thank you so very much! Due to your generosity we were able to raise $187 (in 2 hours!) doing nail trims and pawdicures today!!! We topped it up to make it an even $200 and then this money was submitted to the Canadian Mental Health Association of NB in support of the Stay Active Oromocto 5K event.... Thank you to my husband who was my runner/organizer today. Paul having all that under control meant I could stay in the shop and clean my stuff between dogs to ensure quicker transitions between clients! Great teamwork today by all involved on behalf of a worthy cause Anyone who missed it can make a donation online. Donations will be coming in all day tomorrow during the Stay Active Oromocto 5k event!

The deliberate, end of the week, slow start for the reopening went very smoothly. These 3 puppers were so well behaved that it truly helped alleviate all my anxiety about the reopening. Well done by all their chauffeurs for also being so great to work with. Everyone’s positive attitudes and support mean the world to this small business owner!!! ... Show some love for: Monsieur Maçon: Chauffeur: Brenda Jaillet This 2 1/2 year old little cutie is rockin’ a bow tie to match his hair ties Sir Piper: Chauffeur: Cyril Veitch This tiny (-5lbs) bundle of sweetness will be 17 years old in September Miss Poppy: Derek & Jenn Maling This 6 year old lady LOVES her spa days and was probably in the brook within seconds of arriving home **For those wondering... Poppy is one of the last grandfathered-in large breed pups I do. She was kept on as she is one of the best large dogs I have EVER groomed. I no longer take new clients over the 25lbs weight limit, except for nail trims/pawdicures!!**

Good evening everyone! I just wanted to make a quick post to say that I am working my way through the rebooking/wait lists. I see all your messages flooding my inbox/phone and I PROMISE I will get to you all... in the order you originally messaged!! This will indeed take a few days and so, to save time sending this message to each of you, I am doing this post! This will mean I can spend more time in the following days contacting all you wonderful folks to book you in! ... Thank you so much for your patience! See more

As we start back this is just a reminder: I am in the high risk category. I will be taking the extra precautions necessary to alleviate my chances of contracting the Coronavirus from an asymptomatic carrier. As such, masks will be MANDATORY from before exiting your vehicle on my property, to when you are back in your vehicle again to leave. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you can’t wear a mask, be sure you make alternate arrangements for the drop off and pick up of you dog(s). ... ** For anyone who may be concerned for the pups: Anyone who knows our dogs knows they will do almost anything I ask for a photo. They don’t even need to be bribed with food! Haha They do have 15 & 13 years experience though so.... The masks were only on a moment each to take a quick photo.** Cheryl the Norwex masks are perfect for the shop... and I mean for me!! Thanks!

It’s here! Re-opening week has finally arrived!! After much blood, sweat and tears the shop has had a new life breathed into it and is ready to greet all the puppers (and their chauffeurs) who visit. All the updates to follow COVID-19 precautions have been put into place and signs are on order. I did one test client to run through everything and I am ready to open!... I have begun the process of contacting clients. This will take some time due to the length of the wait list and prescreening for the Coronavirus. Everyone WILL be contacted in the order their messages were received on any of my contact mediums. During the catch up period (estimated at a couple weeks): Due to the extra time needed for cleaning between clients I will only be answering the phone or messages once my dogs are completed for the day. It may take a couple days to hear back from me as I make my way through all clients who needed to be rebooked first. But, I promise I WILL get to you! Please be kind and remember: 1.) I am a 1 woman show with only 1 pair of hands and so many work hours in a day. 2.) I am doing my best to begin to serve my clients again along with adjust to requirements for the health and safety for both my clients as well as myself. 3.) I am in the high risk category. 4.) I currently won’t be able to do our much loved hangout chats before/after a groom due to time constraints and not being able to have clients cross paths in the shop. It’s unfortunate but, once things settle, we will be able to catch up again! I look forward to sharing the shop with all the pups again! (More information to follow with new drop off/pick up procedures.)

Good morning everyone, Due to the need to eliminate as many touch/contamination points as possible, I am making the move to (hopefully) eliminate all cash payments. In order to achieve this I have upgraded the shop with a (much requested) contactless payment system! ... The new terminal, by Square, will not only allow for clients to pay with debit AND credit (through tap/swipe/chip) but also to have receipts emailed to them. Thereby, helping the environment by reducing the amount of waste produced!

Good morning everyone, As the messages are mounting, on all contact mediums for the shop, I thought now would be a great time to give another update! I’m happy to report that (as long as there are no developments to the provincial health mandate) we are still on track for the anticipated reopening date of June 15th!... **Reminder: I will NOT be contacting clients back to book them in until ALL equipment required to open has arrived.** Over the next 12 days there will be many announcements to share all the developments underway, as well as changes to the operating procedures at the shop. As of today: -Half of the equipment/supplies has arrived and been assembled/installed. -Thanks to my husband, nearly all the renovations to the shop have been completed. A few of the changes include new paint scheme, flooring, desk, decor... Although it is not finished yet... here is a sneak peak of the progress:

Good afternoon everyone! Long post but all positive news! First, I hope everyone is doing well and continuing to do what we all need to as a society to keep ourselves safe. I know it’s been difficult and I can appreciate the anxiousness of it all... but we will work through the grooming aspect of it together.... That being said, today I am making this short post to let you all know that I will be reopening NLT June 15th! This next couple weeks will be for receiving/installing all the newly required supplies (and goodies) I’ve ordered to get the shop up to the new standards. There are shipping delays all over but I am confident it will all arrive in time as I have ordered from ALL Canadian distributors Once I have received everything that I need in order to reopen, the phone calls and messages will start for getting everyone re-booked who had to be cancelled due to the pandemic. As soon as all those clients are booked, I will move to the wait list and book all those clients. The message on my answering machine will reflect this process as well (starting tomorrow). Everyone WILL get in and we all just have to work together to get used to the new norm for how client drop offs and pick ups will go. There will be a few more posts during this waiting period which will inform everyone of the new policies and procedures at the shop. So, don’t worry, everyone will know exactly what to do before they leaving home for their appointments. Also, for all those who noticed our garage seemingly getting smaller, due to all the reno supplies piling up... RENOS ARE UNDERWAY! We have had the supplies and plans for almost 2 years with no time to get them done. Now, the shop is well underway and the renos include updates to assist with the new social distancing requirements... not just to look pretty! I sooooo look forward to seeing all my niece and nephew puppers again... and of course, the humans who do all their chauffeuring for them Stay tuned for more announcements and can’t wait to see you all again! Stay Healthy!

Good morning everyone, LONG BUT IMPORTANT POST: I know this has been a difficult time for so many. I hope you are all still healthy and your families are as well. ... There has recently been an update to the Covid-19 State of Emergency here in NB. This update provides an opportunity for groomers (who can completely comply with the current Health Department regulations) to begin to take in very limited clientele. I have been getting messages and phone calls already, so I would like to offer the answers I do have here on my home page. The short answer to most questions: No, sorry, I can NOT open the shop right away. There are only a few shops opening to start with and procedures being tested. This, along with the fact that I am in the vulnerable/immunocompromised category and the shop is inside our home, makes this even riskier for me. There are, understandably, very stringent current regulations of what is required in order to open each of our grooming shops right now. Each requiring a few different things, depending on their set up and location. As it stands, I could not meet those needs (having to have multiple sets of full PPE gear to wear and switch between clients, due to MY vulnerability) without raising my prices... not something I could do in good conscience during this time of uncertainty. I acknowledge that this is not the answer many are looking for. It’s not the outcome I had expected either. However, I will NOT take chances with anyone else’s health, nor my own. The wait list is still growing. If you feel the need to go elsewhere because your dog is in emergent need of grooming due to matts etc I understand. Please, be aware of what is required by your groomer and be sure that the shop you are going to is following those strict cleaning/operating guidelines for keeping you and your fur kids safe!! Best regards, I’ll continue to keep you all updated as things progress. Stay healthy Below are examples of the PPE I would need to protect myself due to MY vulnerability.
