Please note that this is an unverified report that we have been requested to share as a warning. "The intent of this post isn’t accusatory, it’s meant as a war...ning & for pet owners to be cautious. On Thursday afternoon my parnter took our puppy to the off leash dog park where a complete stranger offered our dog a cookie. Gleefully she ate it. 4 hours later we were rushing her to the emergency vet. Our pup was poisoned. The vet determined that the cookie she was given had high levels of THC, which is very toxic for dogs; she was admitted and put on IV; unsure of what the outcome would be for her, we had to leave her. Thankfully she responded well to treatment & we recieved a call late Friday morning saying she could go home and its not likely that she will have long term effects from the drug. I don’t want to think that this was intentional however I do want to say, and I can’t stress this enough, DON’T FEED SOMEONE ELSE’S PET, EVER, especially drugs, and if someone offers your dog a cookie, please, say no. I want to spare others, and there pets, the trauma, the worry & the expense this whole ordeal has caused for us." See more

These include: - When dropping & picking up your pet, please text us of your arrival so that we may come outside to meet you. ... - We will be wearing a medical face mask during drop offs & pick ups. You are encouraged to also wear a face mask/shield but it is not required (as we will not be indoors at any time). - Prior to pick up, your pet’s gear (leash, harness, bag, etc) will be sanitized to eliminate any potential bacteria. - When entering your home we will be wearing a face mask. - Prior to entering your home we will be sanitizing our hands and wearing gloves when making contact with any furniture or household surfaces. Here's your Halloween reminder! Keep the chocolate away from your pets. It is toxic and they don't want to end up at the vet clinic! Chocolate contains theobrom...ine which is toxic for pets. In small amounts, chocolate may only cause vomiting or diarrhea. But if they ingest larger amounts (or dark chocolate which has higher amounts of theobromine), it can cause tremors, seizures and death. Plenty of people have stories about their pets getting into chocolate. But it is not something to laugh about, they can get very sick. Please call your vet if your pet accidentally ingests chocolate.
