For November and December we have two beautiful girls Ms November is Zoe! Zoe comes to see me with a wagging tail and happy spirit. I love that so much. She is so full of the best kind of energy and is always ready to plant a big kiss So Sweet! Ms December is Bella! Bella can often be seen sleeping through her grooms, that is the best! She is so easygoing and so happy, she loves her mama and papa so much So Cute!

Happy Thursday! Miss Callie is reluctant to come in for her Spa, but once she does.. she loves the downtime I love her little head-bobs. Isn’t she the cutest? Just a little FYI, I have started booking into the new year, 2021. I am away next summer from July until the end of October so I recommend getting in touch to prebook appointments. ... Happy Monday everyone! I have had a lot of people ask about next years bookings. I will begin making appointments for 2021 towards the end of next month (October). If this is something you’d like to do, please send me a message with how often you would like an appointment as well as if there’s a preferred day or time in the week. Hellooo, September! To help us welcome this month and season, we have... Miss Maggie! Maggie is the sweetest girl, she gives the cutest lip curl for pictures and is full of spunk. She also loves rolling in tree sap and getting really dirty after her grooms I love her and her personality

For the month of August we have...Miss Penny Penny is such a sweet girl. She loves her parents more then anything and gives amazing lap cuddles, even nuzzling her head into your shoulder (the best ) I look forward to all our visits!

Here we have Miss Willow bringing in July for us She is such a sweetheart, full of kisses and snuggles. Always so excited to come and even more excited when her human picks her up She stands so confidently for her grooms and is always so proud afterwards I hope everyone is enjoying their summer! Hey everyone! Good news! We are part of the provinces Phase 1! This means next Wednesday, May the 20th, Paws on King will reopen As I have mentioned, I will continue with scheduled appointments and call back all... Missed appointments in order. Please note, this will take quite some time. There has been 153 missed appointments. Things will not return back to normal. There are guidelines and rules I need to follow: 1. Please have your dog on a leash and I will meet you outside for pickup/drop off 2. Etransfer money to [email protected] 3. Rebooking appointments will be done by phone or messaging 4. If you are feeling Ill, please be honest and we will reschedule the appointment. I promise to do the same. 5. No drop ins! Happy Wednesday Hope everyone is staying safe and healthy! Does anyone else struggle to do puzzles with their cats? He leaves it alone until I sit down to work on it lol! I am still awaiting further instruction at this time about opening, with no date able to be set. I know some of you are anxiously awaiting and so am I! ... When the time does come that I am able to reopen, I will continue with set appointments and call back missed appointments in order. Please keep in mind, at this time I have just over 100 missed appointments. It will take some time to do all of this rescheduling as well as to get people back in. I really suggest if you are feeling your pet is in ‘dire’ need. Do what you can at home during this time. Scissor out any mats that may be bothering them, trim their nails (I posted a great article to help with that), cut around their eyes and bum. If you have clippers and you feel they are/will be too warm.. give them a quick clip! Maintaining a healthy comfortable pup is all we can do right now, they are ok with a patch job I can’t wait to see everyone again and get back to work

With these scary and unpredictable times we are facing.. I have Aprils pup of the month here to bring you a smile. Little Miss Flower. She is such a ray of sunshine. She gives the sweetest hugs and is always so good for her grooms. I look forward to every time I get to see her

Happy Easter everyone I hope everyone is finding comfort in the little things these days. On the bright side, I’m sure all our fur babies are enjoying the extra lovin’. Unfortunately, Paws on king will continue to remain closed until further notice. We are following the guidelines and instruction from Public Health and government officials.... In the meantime, I know people are worried about long growing nails. I have attached a link that is very good at explaining the steps to a successful nail trim! You can do it! Be confident with each cut and try and make it a positive experience for both! Snacks for all afterwards I so look forward to the day I can take the closed signs off my windows and see you all again. Hey everyone! Hope you are all staying healthy. I wanted to share this video with you from Andis. It demonstrates the proper way to brush a dogs coat. (If you only have the slicker brush, that will definitely do!) It is extremely important to make sure you are brushing to the skin. If the fur is just brushed at the ends, they will look brushed out, but will end up with undercoat matting. Some key areas that knot the quickest are the legs and behind the ears. (Be consciou...s of the pressure you use as well as the amount of time brushing in one area.) I have had quite a few people message me concerned about their pets missed or next groom and I understand. However, I unfortunately do not have any answers at this time. I want nothing more then to be able to continue to work and keep up the grooming needs of your babies. But right now, we need to work together for the health of our community. (Or maybe just watching the kittens) Animals bring me such peace, they help me stay grounded in times like these. Unfortunately, back to the current situation. I continue to work right now. I will be making phone calls, or sending out messages the day prior to your appointment for a check-in. Dur...ing the check-in, I will ask specifically what you would like done, as well as give a reschedule date if desired to minimize interaction and contact in the Salon before and after the appointment. There is no fee/time restriction for cancelling or rescheduling appointments, we need to work together to keep everyone safe Please be honest if you are not feeling well and I will do the same. During these scary and stressful times, I have Gizmo and Charley here to remind us that we need to remember to show love and compassion to our friends, family and neighbours. Hi everyone, Dr Simpson has cancelled his upcoming clinic March 30th, see his message below: In response to the COVID-19 situation and public health officials advising the practice of social distancing to mitigate the spread of disease, I have cancelled the March 30 clinic in Chapleau. I will be available by phone or email in the meantime to offer veterinary advice or to arrange weekly delivery of regular medications (flea meds, etc.). Hopefully this situation will resolve quickly to a level where it is socially responsible to resume my clinic schedule as planned for 2020. Happy Hump day all A sneak peek at some of the upgrades at Paws on King. I have to say, my favourite addition has been the new large mirror! Dogs get so excited to see themselves being groomed.. i can just hear them saying....who’s that pretty boy?! I AM so cute. Between the window and the mirror they have a lot of live action ... A scheduling update. Many weeks throughout the summer are filling, book many appointments ahead to get desired dates/times.

For the month of March, we have ‘Mr Sweetface’... Bootsie Bootsie has come such a long way with grooming, he used to hate it, now he tolerates it His eyes melt your heart and he gives such good cuddles. Recently he lost his brother, Bentley. Bentley was such a loveable boy he is so missed

Happy Monday! I am a little behind in the month but nonetheless, here is February’s pup... George! George, (or Georgie as I call him) is the sweetest dude. Just like his hair do, he is so fun and full of the best kind of love. He loves to shake a paw and wag his tail. You simply can’t be around George and not smile, it’s simply not possible. ... We have been busy here at Paws on King doing some upgrades and Reno’s. New flooring, walls, paint and trim is done. Just a few finishing touches remaining. She is full of the best kind of sass and let’s me snuggle her after the groom is done She is a Wiry Fox Terrier and the cutest one I know

Happy Friday and first day of November! For the month of November we have Ally! Ally is the definition of a sweetheart, she is so patient, full of affection (kisses ) and isn’t she so beautiful? She seems to love cats too, at my previous salon location, my cat was always roaming around and she LOVED to just watch him, she would sit wagging her tail in pure content. At my new location, the cat sits behind my house door. Every once and a while sticking his paw under the door and Ally seems to love that just as much. I think she loves everyone

September’s model is so special. Chloe crossed rainbow bridge earlier this year. She was always the sweetest girl. Even though grooming wasn’t her favourite time, she was so patient and so affectionate with me. I miss her, she led such a beautiful life

Happy short week I no longer have a working phone camera so pictures have been on hold for a while, but I don’t want everyone to miss out on the monthly models! JUNE we have the adorable Casey and Finnegan! These two are full of the happiest energy and love. I look forward to everytime they bounce through my doors. ... JULY we have the fluffy Holly! This girls heart has to be as big as she is. She walks her self right up on my grooming table like a champ. She is the sweetest and I’m just as excited as she is to see her AUGUST we have the adorable pair, Libby and Thomas. These two are full of tail wags, back rubs and smiles. So full of life and love. I’m not totally sure if they look forward to seeing me or getting their treat but either way, they brighten my day everytime Also a friendly reminder I am booking into the beginning of October for grooms and continue to not take on any new clients.
