Updated Covid-19 return to operations. The Province of Ontario has released an updated statement regarding the possible reopening of businesses. Due to the fact that public health trends are improving in some regions faster than others, the current Stay-at-Home order will be amended and individual orders making it applicable to each public health region will be made except for three. It is proposed that the Stay-at-Home order will continue to apply to 28 public health regions... until Tuesday, February 16, 2021. For Toronto, Peel and York regions, it is proposed that the Stay-at-Home order will continue to apply until Monday, February 22, 2021. Final decisions will be subject to review of the trends in public health indicators at that time. What this means is that if Ottawa Public Health determines that current Covid-19 health trends are continuing to fall in numbers we will be able to return to operations on Wednesday February 17th. When Paws on Wheels Mobile Grooming resumes operations it will still be under our Covid-19 health procedures as listed under our terms of service on our webpage. Over the next few days we will be contacting all returning and new clients to reschedule or book their appointments on a priority basis. In order to get to as many people as quickly as we can we will be booking our days in zones which will allow us to service more people in that area on a daily basis. Recent Announcement"Grooming Essential" News Release As an update to the news releases about pet grooming being allowed to open "with restrictions", we have reviewed the conditions surrounding this announcement and in-home pet grooming would not qualify as this would be providing service with clients present. The condition of curbside pickup and drop off is not possible with in-home service. However on the positive side of the situation, Doug Ford indicated yesterday he will ...be announcing some two phased general reopening dates this Monday. Once these are disclosed we will commence with determining our operational restart date and the rebooking process. We are really looking forward to seeing everyone once more (in the near future)!

Government of Ontario Shut Down. On December 26th, 2020 at 12:01am the Ontario Provincial Government issued a province wide shut down of all non-essential businesses. This shut down will remain in effect until at least January 23rd, 2021. As a result of this province wide order, we will be complying and have temporarily ceased all operations.... As more information is made available to us by the province about a possible return to operations, we will will start contacting all clients to reschedule their appointments in priority. Upcoming Christmas Break: Please be aware that with the Christmas rush we are currently fully booked until mid January 2021. Our last working day of 2020 is Tuesday December 22nd.... Those clients that are currently on the cancellation list will remain on list and be contacted should an appointment become available. We will be on holidays starting December 23rd and returning to operations on Sunday January 3rd. Good morning everyone. On the weekend we had our computer crash, as a result I have spent the weekend repairing our computer, however we have lost our entire scheduling database. We are going to try to piece our schedule back together with our emails, text messages and voicemails however I do anticipate that we will miss some people. With Paws On Wheels Mobile Grooming starting to reopen this week we just wanted to go over what this process will look like. We will be starting to contact everyone starting Sunday May 17th to discuss grooming dates. Upon arriving at your location we will be wearing our Personal Protection Equipment which consists of a face mask, nitrile gloves, which are changed between appointments, and protective eyewear.... All of our grooming equipment will be sanitized between appointments. As we are still practicing social distancing, we ask that our clients maintain a safe distance as we groom. Please ensure that we have an indoor place to groom. As previous we will call two days before to not only confirm your grooming appointment but also to make sure that you are feeling well or have not come into contact with anyone showing any symptoms. If you are not feeling well we will have reschedule your appointment. If we arrive at your location to groom and you or someone else in your household is ill, the full price of the groom will be charged and must be paid prior to rescheduling your follow-up appointment. There is a $10 per animal Covid-19 surcharge that will be charged on all full grooms. This surcharge will cover the added costs of our labour, PPE and all sanitation products that have been purchased to keep everyone safe. Once the Ontario Medical Officer of Health has deemed that we no longer need to social distance we will remove the Covid-19 surcharge. If your animal is matted, in order to maintain our schedule we will not be able to save your animals coat, which means a short clip all over. Announcement Date Thursday May 14th 1:30pm. Great news to announce!!!... Doug Ford Ontario Premiere has announced today that pet grooming services can reopen for business starting May 19th. Here is a high level outline of what the reopening process will look like for Paws On Wheels Mobile Grooming. With having to reschedule over 300 appointments this will take a number of days to organize and complete. We will be in touch with everyone starting this Sunday May 17th to discuss appointment options as well as what the new grooming process will entail. We are still waiting for a supply of Personal Protection Equipment to arrive which we are anticipating that this will occur over the next few days. Hi everyone, Just a quick update, the Province of Ontario just updated the state of emergency until April 23rd, which means that as a non essential service we are not grooming. We hope we are able to get back to work as soon as we can, and will keep everyone updated.... Linda and I hope everyone has a good Easter and that everyone stays safe and healthy. Good morning everyone. Both Linda and I continue to hope everyone and their families are remaining healthy. We just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone who have been asking how we are.... We also wanted to address all the emails and phone calls we have been receiving requesting our services. Currently we are still a non essential business and as a result we are ordered to be shut down. The current provincial state of emergency has been extended to April 13th. If this timeline continues we could be back to work next week. Although we hope this happens we believe that we may be off for a longer amount of time and we will update everyone as more information becomes available. We also understand that all of our longtime, and new client inquiries, are in need of grooming and nail trimming and we can sympathize with everyones concerns. However during this time of physical distancing we cannot come out to anyone's residence and groom or cut nails on their front lawn. Not only are we doing our part by staying at home and not spreading Covid-19, we cannot risk a $5000 fine for ignoring a provincial order. We hope everyone understands that if all do our part in stopping the spread of Covid-19 we can all return to a semblance of normality and get back to providing quality grooming for everyone's pet. Hi everyone, Linda and I both hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. We just wanted to update everyone with what's going on. The state of emergency in Ontario has been updated and extended to April 13th. With this extension all non essential services are to remained closed which includes Paws on Wheels.... We understand that this can be a very trying time for our clients as their dogs and cats need to be groomed. We are following news and recommendations from Ontario Government sources on a daily basis and will update our Facebook page once we have anything new to report. We understand that once we are back to work, it will be very difficult to organize and fit everyone back into our schedule. We are asking that everyone have a little bit of patience with us when we do get back to work as we are looking forward to continuing bringing our clients great personalized service. We continue to monitor all municipal, provincial and federal advisory announcements for additional measures/ protocols to prevent the spread of this virus and keep our values clients and their families safe.

As a notification/ reminder our terms of service on our website state that we may cancel or reschedule your appointment should there be a risk to the physical safety of the grooming team. Our Covid-19 policy is as follows; Please advise if you and/or anyone residing in your household have any of the following conditions.... Respiratory illness symptoms (coughing, fever and/ or shortness of breath), your household is under mandatory quarantine or self isolation and/ or if you have returned from travel outside of Canada in the last 14 days. If none of the conditions above are applicable no action is required, if they do become applicable prior to our arrival please notify us by phone at (613) 406-7297 immediately. Should we arrive at your location and discover that any of the above conditions apply we may (at our discretion) immediately depart from your location, the full value of the appointment will become payable prior to a rescheduling of the appointment. Increased Protective Measures If none of the above conditions apply and do not develop, we are taking additional protective measures to ensure we do not unknowingly spread the virus between the appointment locations. This includes the wearing to each individual location and cleaning/ changing in between each appointment nitrile gloves, washable masks (treated with antibacterial wipes after each appointment) and wearing fitted safety glasses (treated with antibacterial wipes after each appointment). We were at a clients home on Brittania Bay by the Yaught Club and a microburst hit the area, these trees were about 100 years old and just missed our vehicle!

On July 11, 2015, Sushi was being babysat in the Dochart Estates, which is between Arnprior and Braeside, when she slipped her collar and bolted from her caregiver. I have been searching for her ever since and it has been 8 months now. We live in Arnprior. She is 5 years old, spayed and is a tri-colour Sheltie which means she is black, tan and white.
