Some dogs are adopted quickly and some, like our girl, Paloma, have to wait a bit longer to find their furever home. But we are PAWSitive that the perfect hom...e for this goofy girl is out there. Paloma (you can call her Potato once she gets to know you) originally came to Paws it Forward over 7 years ago. At that time she was terrified of humans and had a very rough start to life. She was lucky enough to find her family and learned that she actually loves people! Actually, she loved her humans so much she had a hard time sharing them with the other pup in the house and and the difficult decision was made to put her back into Paws it Forward's care. She is a sweet soul at heart. Loves to go for walks or snuggle on the couch, whatever her human is into, she will be right there by their side. She can still be timid around some humans sometimes so is looking for a patient family. Once she is comfortable, she is like Velcro - you won't find a more loyal companion! From Paloma: Things I enjoy: being outside and going for walks car rides! chilling in the house hunting bees pleasing my humans snuggles older kids to play with and love on (10 years plus) Things I don't enjoy: sharing my humans other pets Paloma was lucky enough to find a great family once, and we know her next and final family is out there patiently waiting for her to come into their lives! This is Koda. I’ve been cleaning at his house for at least 6 years, one a week. Every week, he hates me. He barks at me, me nips my heels, he chases the Vacuum. This is the second time I have dogsat him, and as you can see, when I dogsit, we are the best of pals. ... Thanks for being my buddy Koda...Because on Wednesday when I come to clean, I know we will be back to square one

Wondering what to do with those Halloween Pumpkins ? The animals at the Warren Peace Bunny Sanctuary in Oyama would be thrilled to eat them up for you. All of o...ur animals love pumpkin, from the bunnies to the goats, pigs and up to our 2 steers. We will have a drop off spot set up at the foot of our driveway on Sunday, Nov 1st. There will be volunteers to help carry pumlkins from 11am-3pm. Please make sure to remove any candles or anything that could harm the animals. No painted pumpkins or moldy pumpkins please. If you have any questions please call Annie 250-470-3606. Our address is 14320 Pelmewash Parkway. Unfortunately due to COVID we will not be serving refreshments this year but will do our best to make it up to you when we are able. Thanks Annie & the buns

It’s been a quiet fall over here, but I did spend a day with Jaxon and Dixie a few weeks ago. They enjoyed one of our sunny fall afternoons before the snow came.

Update 10/7/2020: thank you everyone! We asked, you responded generously! We have plenty of linens and towels so at this point, we're covered! Shopping from our... Amazon wishlist is next best idea for ways to help. We really appreciate you!!! The staff and volunteers here at the Kelowna branch are working diligently to keep up with the cleaning and disinfection requirements as we care for extremely vulnerable animals. If you are looking for ways to help: - We are in great need of FLAT sheets and large towels - they must be freshly laundered and placed in closed plastic bags, you may simply drop them off at our donation shelves outside the branch daily between 8:30am-4:00pm. - We are also hoping for laundry pods, dish soap and XL garbage bags, which can even be purchased through our Amazon Wish List: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/registry/wishlist/12E86U3GGOKJV/ These items will enable us to keep up with the high volumes we are managing here at the branch. Hoping everyone’s weekend is as cool as Sadie is!

Not available through us. We took a call from a sweet old lady. Her husband had passed and she is moving into a home. She needs to rehome her 6 persian cats.... All between 10-15years of age..Sadly it seems these once show cats are in pretty rough shape right now. Spent most of today trying to shave and bath them and really didnt accomplish much. Though they were more then cooperative they were just so matted clippers arent working on them. Tiny scissors did most of the work and still have so much to go. Sigh. Anyway now that I've spent 2 days with them picking out poop from their bums, it's going to be hard to see them go Monday. If you are interested in adoption please contact Cat Therapy cat Rescue. Keep in mind these cats currently are unavailable until the other Rescue evaluates them all :) We love when Rescues can work together.
