We are happy to announce that as of June 5th , 2020 we will begin to gradually reopen our clinic. Last week we received a directive from Dr. David Williams, Chief Medical Officer of Ontario, allowing a safe restart of deferred and non-essential services. Rest assured, if you had an appointment that was previously cancelled due to the COVID-19 closures, we will be contacting you to reschedule shortly. We are very much looking forward to seeing people back in the clinic with n...ewly imposed protocols to ensure everyone's safety. However, we understand that not all patients will be comfortable doing so, or may not be able to make it to the clinic. To ensure everyone’s needs are met we are excited to continue and expand upon some of our new services: Telephone appointments for consultations and troubleshooting Virtual appointments for hearing tests and hearing aid evaluations Fine-tuning and adjustments of hearing aids from the comfort of your home Curbside pick-up for same day hearing aid repairs and supplies When coming into the clinic, we have implemented some policy changes for the safety of our staff and patients: All patients will be screened prior to booking an appointment, and again during their reminder call. Patients are encouraged to self-monitor and reschedule as needed or use our virtual appointment options Appointment times are staggered between patients to help maintain physical distancing and for enhanced cleaning and disinfecting measures Please arrive on-time for your appointment. If possible, please come alone or bring one caregiver or adult family member. If you arrive early, remain in your car, or outside until your appointment time. Please knock or ring the bell and a staff member will greet you at the door for your scheduled appointment A mask must be worn while in the clinic. You are able to wear a mask of your own, or we will provide you a disposable mask Hand sanitizer will be provided and must be used upon entering and exiting the clinic We respectfully ask that there are no walk-ins at this time. Please contact us at 905-990-3755 or [email protected] to arrange an appointment for any of these services as well as supply requests. We look forward to seeing you again. We will continue to update you as we make any future changes.

Dear Valued Patients, I hope all of you are keeping well and staying safe. Since our original closure, the Ontario government declared, and subsequently extended a state of emergency in the province and has mandated the shutdown of all non-essential businesses in order to help curb the spread of COVID-19. ... In following these guidelines, we will remain closed until it is safe to reopen. Given the great deal of uncertainty with this situation, we understand it can be frustrating. We will be available by phone (905-990-3755) or email ([email protected]) to answer any questions you may have in regards to your hearing aids. Voicemails will be checked regularly, and remote hearing aid adjustments are available for some patients. If you require batteries, cleaning supplies (i.e. wax guards), or hearing aid repair, please call or email, and they will be mailed to you at home. Please stay safe

Dear Valued Patients, At Port Credit Audiology & Hearing Aid Clinic, the well-being of everyone in our community is our highest priority. We have been carefully monitoring the spread of the COVID-19 and recent developments have caused a change in our office policy. We have decided to close the clinic for the next two weeks, effective March 17, and will be monitoring the situation. We understand that this is incredibly disappointing, but we feel it is necessary, given the publ...ic health crisis we are currently facing. Our administrative team will be reaching out to patients with scheduled appointments to provide alternative times to complete these appointments. We will be available by phone (905-990-3755) or email ([email protected]) to answer any questions you may have in regards to your hearing aids. Voicemails will be checked regularly, and remote hearing aid adjustments are available for some patients. Please refer to this website for other safety recommendations from Health Canada for more information: https://www.canada.ca//2019-novel-coro/being-prepared.html We will be monitoring this situation very closely over the coming weeks, and will provide updated information about our office policy.
