Here's an update from the Program Committee: Many people responded that they would be interested in submitting a full manuscript but were too pressed for time to do so. We have therefore decided to extend the deadline. We would greatly appreciate receiving manuscripts before the field season; however, we will now accept manuscripts received before October 5th. Please do let us know if you intend to submit something (your abstract will be included otherwise). Happy spring and thank you all once again for making the 12th PCESC such a phenomenal event!
From the pre-conference exercise to the closing comments, there were many opportunities to listen, learn, and discuss the challenges and opportunities of the working landscape of the prairies.
Hope everyone had a great time at the conferece here in Winnipeg and look forward to seeing everyone in Alberta in three years for the next one! We will post a more photos and updates shortly, we need a little time to sort throught the many photos taken over the past two and a half days.
Great entertainment for the banquet has been arranged with the booking of Ça Claque! They are a showcase of Franco-Manitoban and Métis artists who share their love of French Canadian and Métis folklore. Ça Claque features exciting and diverse entertainment that will stir your senses from the first note of the fiddle to the last step of the gigue. https://www.facebook.com/caclaquemanitoba/
Where will you be next week? Hope it will be in Winnipeg for the 12th PCESC! After the contential breakfast and official opening the first plenary session will get us moving on our journey into these working landscapes.
Soon the seasons will shift allowing the prairie vegetation will spring up and array of colours will fill the landscape. PCESC presentations offer up some amazing photos of prairie wildflowers and wildlife.
