Meet Dr. Chen! Dr. Chen was born in Taiwan and later grew up in Vancouver. He received his OMS training at the Montefiore Medical Centre/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, which is the largest OMFS training program in the U.S. Dr. Chen gained experience using a variety of advanced techniques to aid traditional alveolar augmentation methods for implant surgery and major reconstruction.... He looks forward to meeting new patients and contributing to the community!

The shortage of PPE (Personal protection equipment) across the country is well-known. But that hasnt stopped everyone from contributing what they can to help the health-care workers. Check out the fabulous surgical scrub hats that our surgical CDA Karyn made for our team!

Our PCOMS team is always engaged in group meetings, even though we all could not be in the office at the same time during the beginning of the restrictions. Using zoom was a great method for staff meetings, and it was nice to check in with everyone. Our goal for these meetings was to also formulate new office protocols based on the recommendations from our College body and the Provincial Health Officer. Our objective is to continue to ensure the safest environment for our patients and staff. We recently had an in-office meeting for the first time since March to go over our plans in anticipation for Phase 2 opening of the BC economy next week. We opened up one of the walls to make sure we still maintain the recommended physical distance between each other. Everyone stay safe!
