Hey #ParksLife, Anna here! We’re sharing insights we’ve learned on the job! I don’t even know where to begin when describing this amazing job! When I was applying, I would have never expected to finish the summer with so many incredible memories, friendships, and valuable lessons learned. This year was not what anyone expected however, I was still able to share my passion for the outdoors, spread the Youth Ambassador mandate, and meet some incredible people along the way.... Despite the fact that we couldn't physically witness the impact we were having, our creativity allowed us to take this job to the next level and engage with youth across Canada in so many special ways. Send your application in before November 29! http://ow.ly/6Uuf30md5ZA

Take a Hike, Canada! A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to take a personal trip to Bruce Peninsula National Park and Fathom Five National Marine Park and hike the rocky shores of Lake Huron . As one of the most-visited national parks in Canada, it was great to get up there in the shoulder season in November and really feel one with nature. These times can be stressful, so it’s important to take the time to get outside and give yourself a break! You deserve it! ... This November, consider visiting local lace up your boots, pack your gear , be #ParksSmart, and hit the trails! Celebrate the beginning of #GeographyAwarenessWeek by learning about one of Canada’s newest and largest protected area: Tallurutiup Imanga! Tallurutiup Imanga is a globally significant region for its biodiversity and cultural influence, and is an ecological engine for Canada’s High Arctic marine ecosystem. It is a critical habitat for species such as polar bear, bowhead whale, narwhal, beluga whale and several seabird species. Tallurutiup Imanga is a traditional hunting g...round and a place where the vibrant culture and well-being of Inuit are strongly tied to the land and sea. Inuit Qauijimajatuqangit (traditional, current and evolving knowledge) was key to defining the boundary for Tallurutiup Imanga and will continue to inform the management of this area.
