It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of our Provincial Commissioner Mr. Sid Gaudry MStJ, SVM. his Family announced he passed peacefully in his sleep surrounded by family. His friendship will be miss dearly in the Saskatchewan Volunteer community. In 2017 I asked sid if he would serve as my deputy Commissioner, as we began to rebuild the Community services units across the province. In 2018 when I was transferred with the Canadian Military to Germany Sid ass...umed the role of commissioner, and I stepped down and became his advisor. Sid was an avid volunteer with both St John Ambulance and the Canadian Ski Patrol out at mission Ridge. He loved volunteering he often more times than not gave up his seat at a riders game to help provide first aid coverage for the game. I will miss our video chats where we would strategize and reminisce about the history of st john in Sask and his love of Military History over the last two years since being here. I know you will all Join myself and our Manager of Community Services Val and our Deputy Commissioner Stephen Damery MStJ, CD with condolences to the family on behalf of all volunteers in St. John Ambulance Saskatchewan Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan Sid your comradeship will be sorrowly missed and I know you are now looking over us with a smile as we move forward with your spirit in all of us.
