Proposed Constitutional Amendments Proposed amendments will be voted upon at the Spring Election on the 9th. The constitution may be found in the events-and-news Discord channel, as well as in our Facebook group. Three (3) Proposed Amendments to Article V. (Executive Committee), Section B., 4.a. (Inherent Responsibilities of the Treasurer)... Proposed Amendment 1 (Amendment to Article V., Section B., 4.a.) "In the event of a change in co-presidents or signing officers otherwise from the previous academic year, the treasurer is required to schedule a meeting with the current provider of the PCU's bank account before the first fall general meeting (described by Article IV, B, Point 4) in order to ensure the account possesses two legitimate signing officers whom can authorize expense reimbursements within the current academic year. The treasurer is responsible for informing all incoming signing officers of the documents required to complete this process, and for the possession of all documents pertaining to the status of the PCU's bank account obtained during the meeting." Proposed Amendment 2 (Amendment to Article V., Section B., 4.a.) "At the signing officer transfer meeting, the treasurer is responsible for ensuring that the two signing officers for the current academic year have produced a minimum of (4) cheques that display the signatures of both signing officers. Following this, the chequebook is to be treated as shared property of the treasurer and the PCU, whilst being accessible only to the treasurer unless directed otherwise by ASSU or both co-presidents." Proposed Amendment 3 (Amendment to Article V., Section B., 4.a.) "Any purchase made by any member of the E.C. with ASSU funds during the academic year that corresponds to an item on an ASSU-approved budget form is to be reimbursed via a cheque written by the treasurer from the PCU's bank account. All E.C. expenses meeting this criteria are defined as "reimbursable purchases." No reimbursable purchase made by any executive member is to be reimbursed following the last date of the the current academic term, or four weeks after the date the purchase was made."
