Well 2021, I welcome you with open arms. I want to apologize for being MIA the past few weeks but December has been more of a whirlwind then I thought it was going to be. Just after finishing wreath and urn orders, I was about to move into doing winter centrepieces for people to enjoy in their homes and my daughter and I tested positive for COVID-19. Having to isolate, wear a mask and social distance from my husband (who tested negative) in our home was something I didn’t thi...nk we would ever have to do. I had to cancel all my holiday orders which was hard for me to do, because I didn’t want to disappoint my customers. Adding in my daughters first birthday, Christmas my birthday and New Years we have been busy isolating and eating lots of treats the past few weeks. I want to say THANK YOU to everyone who understood my situation and also to everyone who supported me this holiday season. I am SOO excited for 2021 wedding season to begin so I can finally meet all my amazing brides and grooms. Anyone who has postponed their big day, I hope it can be everything you dreamed of and more this year because you deserve it!! Looking through my photos I came across this one that made my heart warm There are five things that I see in this picture even if they aren’t actually shown; 1. This little baby in my arms- my daughter having a real taste of the flower world - plus my 93 year old grandmother made her outfit 2. The man behind the camera - my supportive husband who has always encouraged and pushed me to succeed in all my life endeavours. ... 3. Nick and Hilary @creeksidegrow they are the amazing flower farmers behind these beautiful Dahlias. Giving me the opportunity to work with them on this project, that so many people were able to enjoy. I have formed a wonderful relationship with them that goes beyond the beautiful blooms they grow. 4. The Flower - the thing that always seems to spark my creative juices. I look at them and cannot help but love every single petal on their little stems 5. The experience- something that many people have never done before - walking through fields of flowers and seeing what can be made with those beautiful blooms. I cannot wait to see what we will make next - better get our thinking caps on @creeksidegrow !!!
