Today is All Saints Sunday, and with churches all around the world, we heard the part of scripture known as 'The Beatitudes'. This video offers us an updated interpretation of the Beatitudes for our modern, hurting world.

We have started a Peace Cares Initiative to support the amazing work that ROCK Missions does in our community! We'd like to invite you to join us, and make a difference this season by helping us create winter care packages for every member of the homeless community across Chatham-Kent! We have already received some incredible support from local businesses, and we've got an awesome team ...in place that's working hard to sew bags, source items suggested by the team at ROCK, purchase essential items and fill the bags! This Sunday is our first anniversary as a congregation, and we are giving thanks to have the opportunity to serve as a church in Chatham-Kent. We’re grateful for the support and engagement we’ve received from our community, and we are excited for the years to come. We had no way of knowing that when we started this journey in November 2019, the challenges the world would face - we’ve had a year of unexpected joys, memories and some sadness, and our little congregation has gathered together to support each other and help people in need in the CK community. Peace - shalom - is so very closely tied with justice. It is time for us to educate ourselves and to participate in ushering in God's Kingdom by rising against racism. Please read this with an open heart and allow God's Spirit to speak to you.

As we honour mothers on this Mother's Day, we also remember those for whom motherhood holds a different meaning.

We had an amazing haul of all kinds of thoughtful gifts for the greenhouse migrant workers in Kent Bridge facing a COVID-19 outbreak. After collecting donations from families around the city, we dropped them off to our friends at FREEhelpck. From there, our donations and many others were delivered to the migrant workers earlier this evening. May God bless them as they recover.
