New research from University of Nottingham reveals an interesting tool for which farmers continue to tackle compaction in their soils. https://phys.org//2021-01-hard-reveals-crop-roots-penetrat #agforlife #agriculture

Get to know our staff! Meet our Extension Coordinator, Johanna Murray! Johanna grew up on an acreage about 35 minutes East of Olds, near the tiny town of Wimborne Alberta. After high school, she worked on a 400 head cattle ranch near Sundre, and learned to love working with cattle. Eventually, she decided that she wanted to know more than what one operation could teach. She attended Olds College, and graduated with a diploma in Agriculture Management majoring in Livestock Pro...duction. Johanna is fascinated by different management practices and how they change by region. She is passionate about both livestock health and handling and the longevity of pastures. She’ll talk about grass, bio-diversity, and cows until they’re ready to come home! Johanna is loves her work with PCBFA, and is excited to see what the future holds!
