End of Life Doula 25.06.2021

This is so interesting. As a Death Doula, I support families and their loved ones through the end of life journey, whatever age the patient is. I do this through holistic, non-medical care with a range of services. Love and nurturing cost nothing and, if that is what someone needs, I'm there for them. What I have found is that people shy away when I tell them what I do. Is it fear? Is it denial that 'I'm not going to die for a long time so I don't need to talk about it'? ... Is it 'I can't talk about it because it makes me sad'? I feel so sad that death and a 'life plan' aren't worked out ahead of time to provide that safe place for a 'soft landing' (thank-you Gabrielle Elise Jimenez) for family and friends. I host a free 'Taboo, Tea and Treats' to answer questions and curiosities, welcome input into how people are feeling, concerns and sadness. I'm available via phone, Zoom or email to discuss what I do, support those who are grieving or who just simply have questions such as 'when will this grief go away?'. Death (Sacred Passage, End of Life) Doulas welcome and support all (doctors, nurses, funeral directors, care/support teams, Ministers/Pastors/Priests, family and friends), we are inclusive and hold the importance of working together as a support team to hold sacred space for that team. Our world of support, knowledge, training and care goes deep into the heart of what is most important to the patient in order to best support them and their families as they transition through the veil at end of life. I welcome any questions of curiosities you may have. Be well. See more

It's interesting that a dear friend of mine shared a video with me. I would really like to address it as my soul struggles with what was said and I want to make sure YOU know, it could be very different. I'll go live again tomorrow morning and explain. See you then.

A loved one suggests jewelry be made containing their cremated remains. Would you wear it? A) Sure. I'd love to wear my loved one. B) I'd gladly accept it and then tuck it safely in a drawer. C) No, yuck. Our memories are treasure enough for me.... From thedeathdeck.com
