It is no secret that one of the biggest factors which will affect the results & longevity of your training regime and goals will simply come down to your diet - we are what we eat is as true today as ever. As most of our clients are aware, Peak Fitness is not a big advocate for crash dieting and strict unrealistic eating plans. This may suit a small majority of people, but for most of us it can be too much pressure - we will last a certain amount of time on this nutrient res...tricted plan, but eventually life will happen and we will 'slip up' and then comes the guilt and negative side of dieting. "Back to square one" - "everything I've done was for nothing" - "I messed today up already I may as well keep enjoying a cheat day" ---- the guilt is real! The next thing you know your halfway through a tub of B&J and stuffing cookies in your milkshake! What we try to encourage our clients to do, is to take small steps to adjusting your daily diet and tweaking the not so good habits with slightly better ones. With the end goal being that eventually our 'normal day to day' eating habits and snacks will be the healthy options, not due to adhering to strict rules and guidelines but because you actually have found foods that you enjoy and want to eat.
