Looks fancy, but that’s a $2 bag of store-brand sweet potato fries, a package of firm tofu baked in a jerk marinade, and the star: bruschetta made with a stale baguette-end, one large tomato, four (4!) cloves of garlic, and a huge handful of basil from the garden. (And salt, pepper, olive oil, you know.) The kid nyammed up more than half of this, and it’s now in his repertoire. And grapes at Freshco are a dollar a pound, so grapes all week.
