The Prince Edward County Arts Council 23.06.2021

TONIGHT! Centennial Secondary School arts program students are excited to share their work and creativity with a wider audience through the upcoming Centennial Arts Film Festival. This student-led event will showcase the work of 20 students including our own Youth Artist Member Andie Csafordi, presenting her film The Tell Tale Heart. All films were created during the lockdown period, displaying a wide variety of genres and emotions whilst remaining COVID-safe.... Happy Solstice, friends. Being The Department of Illumination, *of course* today we celebrate the return of the light! You are invited to join us at 3 PM f...or a meditative solstice walk on the Millennium Trail in Carrying Place. This walk is Chapter 3 of Conrad Beaubien's Walking with Thunder, with special guest, musician KASHKA. Volunteers will be on site to assure for physical distancing in bubbles. And in case you didn't know, the donkey's name is Thunder Today's walk is part of a new temporary public art program led by arts producer Derail Platform for Art + Architecture. These site-specific, community-engaged projects are intended to animate a western section of the Millennium Trail. Just wait 'til you see what we have in store for the spring! The executive committee of the The Prince Edward County Arts Trail is pleased to announce that Alexandra Walker Turner of Toronto is the Grand Prize Winner of their ABLAZE WITH COLOUR Fall Promotion, having entered her ballot at Lustre and Tarnish in Picton. Her Grand Prize includes a $400 Gift Certificate from STAYPEC; a $350 Gift Certificate towards the purchase of art at any participating PEC Arts Trail location and a Gift Certificate (valued at $230) for a Half-Day Wine Tour for two, courtesy of Sandbanks Vacations & Tours.
