I don’t think I’m done kidding for the day yet - these two girls are READY!
Robin really out did herself and delivered two stunning doelings this morning! Sire of the litter is our silky buck Sullivan. Both are horned and have ice blue eyes. Will take better pictures once dry!
Handsome little buckling born this morning from first time mama Mindy and first time dad Gilbert. Good and flashy and is half silky so may end up with a coat.
Just realized that I haven’t posted these two!! Sugar kidded twins April 20 - a buckling (black with white) and a doeling (Swiss marked) sired by our Silky buck Dexter. Fairly certain that I am going to retain the doeling but not 100% decided. Sugar was the doe who had a C-section last year. Super relieved that kidding was textbook this year and she had no problems delivering these two cuties on her own.
Yearling buck Kip has some pretty serious flow!! Hoping to get him approved for MSFGA registration this year so I can start my own line of blue silkys
Baloo with his patient aunties
Peepabun’s Baloo Single buckling - 01/15/21 Sire: Wild Ass Acres Sullivan Dam: Cool Green Farms Silver Belle CKR Blue roan with marbled blue eyes, horned.... Eligible for single registration with MGR See more
Ok Baloo - we get it, you’re stinkin adorable!
Baloo met the herd today! He was quite happy to have all the extra space to run and bounce
Here’s some baby Baloo spam because he’s adorable
Dreamy and Gilbert are living at my parents farm this summer to help eat down some grassy areas. Lucky Dreamy had a drive by date with Meredith this afternoon!
I haven’t been feeling well for the past few weeks so I haven’t spent much time with the girls. It was nice to sit out with them today and get some snuggles
A little bit late in posting this one but things have been pretty crazy around here!!! We welcomed two new girls to our herd back at the end of July. North Star Gems Emerald and Turtle Mountain Fainters Emma made the long trek with Bruce from Turtle Mountain Fainters in Manitoba. We are absolutely thrilled with these sweet girls - they are fitting in like dirty shirts and have integrated with our herd just beautifully. ... Welcome Emmy and Emma
Up next we have Turtle Mountain Fainters Bruce! I am pretty excited to introduce this big handsome boy to my herd! Bruce is a 2 yr old proven buck from Turtle Mountain Fainters. He is a fairly big boy (currently our biggest), with long flowing locks, marbled blue eyes and he is polled. He’s qualified as MSFGA foundation (he is also MGR registered), so we will be using him in our silky breeding program with our more extreme coated does to add new genetics and breed in the polled gene. He is definitely a personality plus, and we have already completely fallen in love with this sweet guy.
Moving onto my next intro... CKR Ranch Robin and Cool Green Farms Wren - this lovely mother daughter pair came from CKR Ranch/Cool Green Farms out in Quebec. Robin is a 5 yr old doe with multiple freshening under her belt. She is sired by Oak Hill’s Bandit - who was a US import (now deceased), so she carries his rare lines. Her dam, Moonstars Rocket Girl (also deceased) is one of my all time favourite does. This maternal line is second to none - great mothers, easy kidders a...nd lots of multiples. Robin has great conformation and a beautiful rust coloured coat - she is also extra cute because of her little frost bitten ears! She’s unrelated to all my boys so will make for some nice crosses - I can’t wait to see what she produces here! Wren is a 2020 doeling out of Robin. She is sired by US import buck Syncope Falls Here Comes Trouble. This little girl is as sweet as they come and I am eager to see how she continues to grow out. Again, she isn’t related to any of my fellas so I am looking forward to playing match maker next fall when she is ready to be bred. Welcome ladies
