PEER Supported Housing Edmonton Alberta

Peer Supported Housing is about people sharing accommodation in a home setting who have and are experiencing similar life situations like wanting a nicer home but can't afford it on your own. Wanting better circumstances for day to day living and still have your privacy. Getting and giving support to those who you share the home with. This is still in its infancy, however the idea is to rent bigger homes so a group for example: single moms/seniors/students/men etc could live together (not co-ed) and provide peer support for one another in terms of advice, an ear, occasional babysitting, going for a coffee, etc. Note: Housing will not have drugs/alcohol/parties/smoking allowed. If you feel the need to party/drink it will need to be elsewhere. Homes will be treated as residents safe place.
