MDSC Peer & Trauma Support Systems 08.11.2020

Over the past week Brad McKay, one of our co-leads in Peer Support training has been in England with Joddie Walker, one of our mental health worker facilitators at our peer support workshops, training members of the Oscar-Kilo National Police Wellness group on peer support training. Very proud to be a part of this great initiative in England. Syd Gravel was able to participate via Face-time.

The MDSC P.A.T.S.S. Team of Brad McKay and Joddie Walker just landed in Manchester England to offer one week of Train the Trainer in peer support, based on our very own curriculum of two-day peer support workshops. Very proud of this international endeavour.

Once again, the two grandfathers of peer support, Brad McKay and Syd Gravel, will be offering their two-day peer support workshop accredited by the Mood Disorders Society of Canada. This one is scheduled for September 27-28th, 2019 in Sharon, Ontario. Though many First Responders and their families attend these workshops regularly, it has been noticed that more nurses are taking an interest in these workshops, as they should. Doctors and Nurses, teachers and front line social... workers are all under-served when it comes to peer support.
