Taking the long way home after a biz meeting with a client.

Blew the dust off my camera gear and went for a night mission to the lake to check out the Comet of Doom. #theskyisfalling

Hands in your pockets. Playing music. Sudden movements. Driving your car. Walking at night.... Walking in the day. Turning onto this street. Entering this building. Standing your ground. Standing here. Standing there. Talking back. See more

Expectation vs Reality. The CV Record could have used a better photo than this to say that the market was going to be open on the weekend, unless it really wanted to see backlash, which is what it got. The Comox Valley Farmers' Market thought long and hard about safety, and had measures in place before deciding to go ahead with the outdoor market.

Love that this is our local airport! Hate it when Star Wars makes me cry. Gah! Nice work, YQQ!

Here’s an example of turning a boring scene on its head into something more interesting. Getting creative with photo and video can be just a matter of perspective. Shot handheld with an iPhone 8, then flipped 180 to make it far out, man Big thanks to all who attended the latest round of workshops. For those who came out to the smartphone photography session, I hope you’re shooting better photos and videos!

People’s perspectives will sometimes get so skewed that they’d talk about going on a murderous rampage because of a minor inconvenience to their lives, like protesters blocking traffic. If the highway had to be closed down for a day because there was a multi-vehicle accident, (let’s include a school bus full of children and a van load of puppies too), and rescuers were trying to save everyone involved, there would likely be an outpouring of support and well-wishing from keyb...oard warriors, instead of some of the seething rage we’re seeing on the socials. The interesting thing is that in both scenarios, IT’S THE EXACT SAME INCONVENIENCE to their lives - People would need to detour around to avoid the affected area. Some will detour with hope, some with indifference, and others will detour with hatred. Social media is cute that way.

Just want to share out Super Art Girl's page. She (Naomi) attended this week's social media workshops, and I thought her art was really cool. Maybe give her a follow if you like adorable stuff like this. (Apparently, the orange cat is her actual pet. Not too sure about the uni and dino though.) On Instagram @superartgirlstudio too.

If you want to get better at marketing your business (or yourself) on Instagram, I'm hosting a workshop tonight and you can learn stuff. There are 3 or 4 spots left. 6-8pm, Downtown Courtenay.
