January has started off on an exciting note here at EXIT! Four offices were awarded to agents reaching their milestones for 2020. All other offices are hotel type where agents come in and choose an empty office where they can work. Once they are done for the day, they take their belongings with them and leave the empty office for the next agent. This works quite well and ensures there is always space for agents to work. The holidays are over, but we still want to give our agents the opportunity to showcase local businesses that they love. This time, Wei Chen (our newest agent) wants to tell you about her and her son's experience with the PEI Junior Badminton Club. "My son, Vincent came to me and asked me to find a badminton class when he was in grade 4. He said nobody was willing to play with him in badminton because he always missed the shot. Therefore, he took part in PEIJBTC. In the begin...ning, coach Sam encouraged him that the club would help him and make all of his classmates want to play badminton with him. I was so touched. Vincent is not good at sports and he had never obtained the trust and support like Sam gave to him. When Vincent brought the report card back in grade 5, I was surprised the PE score was 4 (the highest score possible). "Why? What happened to you?" I asked. He's very proud of himself and said, "I just beat my PE teacher in badminton." I'm happy he participates in badminton exercises, improves physical fitness, makes friends, and enhances self-confidence. I sometimes join in adult badminton exercise, which is very good for alleviating shoulder and sore back caused by prolonged work. PEIJBTC was founded in 2014. They have provided PEI with dozens of professional badminton athletes and many national athletes. Now, there are three training times per week for youth (badminton training) and two times per week for adults (recreational playing)."
