Start of the 5km heat 2 of our 4th running event of the year!

Good evening Road Runners, I hope this message finds you safe and well. We, the board wanted to share some good news with our members, race directors, and running family about the up-coming PEI Road Runner year. A) We currently have two vacant positions on the PEI Road Runners Club Board Committee. These positions are 1) Member at Large and 2) Prince County Rep. If you are interested in joining us, please message us at [email protected]... B)Race Directors: We are planning on having our PEI Road Runners Club Series this year but with a different format in order to accommodate the risk of cancellation. In order to launch and build our tentative schedule, we would appreciate if you could please contact us with your potential date and plan. Nothing needs to be finalized as of yet, we are just looking at putting a tentative schedule to start. An overview of your race, date, size, distances offered, and covid-19 plan would be a great start. If you are not sure where to start and need help, please reach out, and we can get you the necessary information you require. We are one community, and together we can create a safe and fun series for our road runner family to enjoy. C)We are happy to announce the first running event on the calendar: Freeze Your Gizzard is happening this year, and will be following PEI Health Authority measures with 3 distant starts of 50 runners max in 3 events: the 5km, 10km and 21.1km. Our first event of 2021 on PEI is now live. Freeze Your Gizzard 2021 is now accepting registration. You have the option to run a 5k, 10k or half marathon. Each event has a cap of 50 runners so don't wait and register.
