Here are 8 recovery tips for the early days post c-section: 1 Keep your scar clean and check for signs of infection. ... 2 Use a binder to protect your scar. 3 Hug a pillow if you need to sneeze/ cough. 4 Walk as soon as possible. 5 Avoid straining. Drink plenty of water and take that stool softener! 6 When feeding the baby try c-section friendly positions such as football hold. 7 Avoid holding your breath. Blow as you go when lifting your baby or the car seat. 8 If you ended up having an unplanned c-section and you’re grieving about it, talk to your health care provider.
