To keep with the advice of self isolation and social distancing due to the Coronavirus, the Garden Club executives have decided that it's best to cancel our meeting next week, March 23rd. We will keep you posted as to future events.
This is on both Saturday and Sunday
Your executives are working on planning the Garden Club 2020 year. Our dates for meetings will be the last Mondays of the months of March, April, May June, September, October and November. So far we have Donna Balzer talking about soil in April and Deb Warburton from Les Fleurs de Fe in Sechelt talking about flower arranging in June. Stay tuned!
Having fun making Thanksgiving centre pieces at our October meeting.
Rosemary Bonderud and Karen Wells, local and talented individuals and long time members of the Garden Club, will lead a workshop which will allow participants to create a Thanksgiving Centre Piece to take home to be admired by family and friends. There will be enough material for the first thirty-six members. Please RSVP to [email protected] to reserve your spot. The meeting starts at 1:00 pm (so get there a bit earlier) at Madeira Park School of Music. $15 for a 2019 membership or $5 drop in, free for members. Coffee, tea and goodies will be served after the workshop. A raffle for door prizes help buffer the cost of this event so bring extra money!
