Monday April 6th was originally the starting date of the 2020 Ball Hockey Season. That was until COVID-19 struck around the world. We have communicated with the both the North Simcoe Sports and Recreation Centre and the Penetanguishene Memorial Arena Facility Managers regarding the season on several occasions and postponed the start of our season 3 times based on the closure dates issued by the facilities. Last week after consulting with both Facility Managers again we were ...informed that the earliest start date possible was now June 7th. Because of the current health concerns the Penetang-Midland Minor Ball Hockey League executive has made the decision to cancel our season altogether and issue full refunds. Please refer to our website at www.pmmbhl.ca for full details on refunds. Although our decision is disappointing it was the proper decision to make while facing this health crisis. The reasons for our decision are as follows: first we are always concerned about the health and safety of all our players, parents, officials and volunteers and secondly we are spring sport that concludes house league play by the end of June each year. We do not wish to risk the health and safety of any of our members and could not see a scenario which would allow us to have any type of a meaningful season this year. Registration for the 2021 season will start in January of 2021. In the Meantime, we want all of you to be safe as we weather this crisis and we look forward to seeing everyone next year.
