We are having trouble sharing our new penfield PAC group. We will be closing this page but will do our best to make sure everyone moves to the group. The group is called Penfield PAC group and has our school photo on it. Please join and spread the news! Please answer the one question, it helps us make sure the privacy and safety of the school community is upheld.

Hi Everyone, we hope you all had a great holiday and wonderful first week back! I feel a little bit like last year is just never ending, not so much like its a new year! But regardless, we have the first PAC meeting of the year on Tuesday at 5:30. Zoom invite to come. Be sure to PM or email [email protected] if you want the code for the meeting.

Hi Penfield Community, Below is copied from an email that went out today regarding school ground protocols. Please read, we all need to be a team in this!! As excitement for the holidays grows, amid COVID-19 pandemic , we are fearful that complacency is taking hold. We would like to update our health and safety protocols on the school grounds before and after school. Parents, we are asking for your help. We ask that students arrive at school as close as possible to start ti...me to cut down on the possibility of students mingling with other students outside of their learning group. 8:40 would be great- we do not make students late until 9am. Please also remind your child of the need to physically distance when they are outside and not to linger on the playground after school. We also ask adults to wear masks while on school grounds and to be sure to physically distance and keep their conversations with other parents quick. We realize that these requests are not how we wish our school grounds to be, but in the words of Dr. Henry, This is not forever, but it is for now. Hi everyone. We had our AGM on Monday, sorry for the link not working, there was a bit of a mis communication between Darlene and I! We have a new co-vice chair, Michelle! We will work together this year, and perhaps she will be willing to take it on next year. Thanks Michelle! Thank you also to everyone who’s hanging in there, supporting us through this crazy year, Krista, Elyse, Sarah, and Katy who is going to help with the grade 5 yearbooks. The DPAC role is vacant,... and they are having a virtual meeting on November 25th via zoom, we are wondering if anyone is interested in attending? I can send along the information but the district will need your contact info sooner rather than later. The DPAC rep is an executive position which means you would sign our code of ethics and represent our school, parents, and students to the district. In the past it has been mostly a route of information. The person that attends, would let us know what DPAC talked about, what their funds may be going to and what changes or opportunities may be available to schools. Cinnamon buns and sticky buns will be delivered on Monday, December 14 sorry as that is their next delivery date to North Island. I will know more at 9 AM that day on proximately what time they will be at the school. There is not a lot I can send them home with the kids no problem. Thank you for being understanding. PAC
