Penguin Run 03.01.2021

Like many good things, the Penguin Run started small. Harry Neynens was the original race director of the event, and spent eleven years at the helm of the race. In 2013, Mike & Lexi Juurlink took over the event. The last six years have been a blast, and it has been great to see the run continue to grow over the years. It is now time to pass the race director reins to the next leader. We are happy to announce that one of our premium race sponsors, Strides Health & Fitness Club, led by Leslie Wilber-Campbell, will take over the Penguin Run for 2019! We wish Leslie and the crew at Strides all the best - we can't wait to see what next year brings. One last shout out of thanks to all of our volunteers, sponsors and participants over the years... it has been quite the run!

Youth run results are now posted on the www.penguinrun.ca website. Getting pretty close to wrapping up the loose ends for the 2018 edition. Some shout outs: - Our main sponsors Strides and Enfield Pharmachoice. Simply the best partners one could ask for! - Our amazing group of volunteers! Our favourite race compliment is that we are well organized - it takes a village to host a race, and we have the best villagers ever! ... - The Elmsdale/Enfield Lion's for use of their facility, and Ritchie Gilby Construction for the donated gravel to spruce up the trails - Our great vendors, including Elmsdale Design & Print, Cup of Soul, D&J Tents, Pro Cresting and Atlantic Chip. They are all great to deal will. - Lastly, our wicked runners/walkers. Rain or shine, you've been the best part of planning this event over the years! See more
