Day 2 Physical Education Challenge at PES

Today is our school wide, plated turkey dinner with all the fixings! Students will be served their lunch in their desks, socially distanced! Don’t forget to wear those Christmas sweaters!

A huge thank you to our Nutrition Coordinator, Mrs. Caroline Jane Tindall and her boys for preparing and delivering the food hampers to our wonderful families today!

We are working hard putting together our Christmas Hampers- if you are a family or know of a family in need, please reach out to the school (4038864390) as we would love to support our community! Thank you!!!

Each day, we will be posting a Physical Education lesson to keep the students active while Remote Learning... Teachers will also be adding them to their Google Classrooms!

Hello 2021!!! We look forward to seeing all of our students online tomorrow morning for our first day of Remote Learning!

At 11:00am tomorrow, the students and staff of Penhold Elementary will honour and remember those who have served, and those who continue to serve during times of war, conflict and peace. We Will Remember.

Feature Friday! Meet Mrs. Matthie- Grade 4 Teacher Mrs. Matthie is married to her husband James, and together they have three children, Ben, Alex, and William. The family has two dogs, Chewbacca (Chewie for short) and Jumong (a rescue from Korea). Mrs Matthie is from a city called Brockille, Ontario, in the Thousand Islands. She taught in South Korea for a year, and then moved to Wabasca, AB, where she started teaching grade 4. In her spare time, she likes to garden, cook, knit and sew, colour and be outdoors. She can play the flute, and piano. Mrs. Matthie sings every day in her car on the way to and from work. She also enjoys drinking tea! Mrs. Matthie’s favorite book is The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkin. She loves fantasy and science fiction novels.

The plated Turkey Dinner was a complete success, 245 meals were made and served! Thank you to the Mustard Seed for the donation of turkeys and fixings! Mrs. Caroline Jane Tindall, you are a master chef! Merry Christmas to all!
