2021 TOWN OF SIDNEY WALL AND DESK CALENDARS The Calendar Committee of the Sidney Sister Cities Association in early February will be commencing production of t...he 2021 Town of Sidney Calendars. The Calendars will be available for purchase at Tanner's Bookstore on or following the July 1, 2020 weekend. Photographers are invited to submit 4x6 print images taken in or of Sidney that capture the town's iconic charm. Details may be obtained from Bob McLure ([email protected]).

Sidney Sparkles Christmas Parade applications are now live at peninsulacelebrations.ca! Join in the fun at the great annual community event!

Did you know that the Sidney Shutterbugs Camera Club have something ghoulish and exciting for the upcoming Treat Street in Sidney event on October 31? Snap some photo fun with them on Beacon Avenue throughout the event and don't forget your jack-o-lantern smiles!

Today is the big day! Join us at Glass Beach at the end of Beacon Avenue for Sidneys Annual Polar Bear Swim! 12pm sharp!

Noon.....New Years Day...GLASS BEACH at the foot of Beacon Ave. Sidney!

We have been receiving lots of questions and engagement regarding the 2019 Polar Bear Swim. We are thankful that we have so many dedicated participants in the Greater Victoria area. In order to best protect participants we work with a local marine safety group to patrol the waters during the event. Feedback in the past has indicated that due to the wide span of Lochside beach there is too great a risk. Given unpredictable weather and potential safety issues in the water even...t planners made the decision to move the swim to a better sheltered located that is also easier to monitor (Glass Beach at the end of Beacon Avenue in Sidney). As the event is held on New Years Day there will be lots of parking in Sidney at both public lots and along the streets. Thank you for your understanding and your ongoing support of this community event.

Today is the day! Join us for the Sidney Sparkles Christmas Parade at 5:00 pm today along Beacon Avenue in Downtown Sidney. The Lighted Sail past will follow on the Sidney waterfront. Merry Christmas!
