Biography of Dr. Lee Dr. Lee Chong Yew obtained his Bachelor of Engineering (1st Class Honours) from the University of Southampton, UK, and his PhD in semiconductor physics in the same university. He has more than 10 years of experience teaching physics, engineering, and mathematics at high school and undergraduate levels.... As a late bloomer, he knows that subject mastery begins with an appreciation of the subject itself. His philosophy of helping students see value in physics and mathematics has help many to overcome their fear of these two wonderful subjectswith many gradually excelling in them! He is a recipient of KDU’s Vice Chancellor Teaching Award in recognition of his teaching excellence. Chong Yew has held many roles in the past including Head of School in KDU University College, Head of Science in Methodist College, and Academic Director cum Principal at Legacy Private School and United International School.
