Wonderful day for a stroll The babies loved all the fresh air, little Z decided it was a great place for a nap We grabbed awesome chai tea lattes from the @thepraguecafe, saw a whole lot of adorable ducks. We talked about real life struggles of motherhood during a pandemic and even though every mama had a different story, no one judged We laughed & we supported each other, that’s what baby café is all about!! #mothertomothersupport #pentictonbabyandbreastfeedingcafe #supportbreastfeeding #supportlocal #motherhoodrising #momsrock

This Wednesday November 11th we will go for a stroll along the lake! We will be meeting outside the Prague Café at 10AM for a walk along Lakeside Drive. We’ll leave for our walk at 10:15 & aim to be back at the Prague before noon. New mamas are ALWAYS welcome Please note we will be taking a moment of silence at 11AM in honour of Remembrance Day. (babies do not have to participate ). The path along the lake is paved & still allows for proper social distancing. Our facilita...tors will now be wearing masks and gloves for extra precautions if you require any assistance during our walk. We will review our COVID protocol with a sign off sheet before our walk. Circled in the second picture is parking; there is street parking along Marina Way but is limited, there is a gravel parking lot located beside the round only a minute away from the café. Did you feel supported if your decision was... not to breastfeed or you were unable to? How can we improve the services we offer families? We would like to hear from you! The Penticton Regional Hospital and Health Centre are looking for volunteers to join in the Baby Friendly Initiative committee. You will be helping us improve our care so that all families receive the infant feeding support they need. This will be an hour long virtual Zoom meeting on November 10, 2020 at 2:00 pm. There will be a survey available following the discussion for feedback. By completing this survey, you will be entered to win a $5 Starbucks gift card. There will be opportunity for ongoing participation in the committee work if desired.
